Blast is motivated by the life of Blaze Foley, the unsung songwriting legend of the Texas prohibit music development that brought forth any semblance of Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson. The film weaves together three unique timeframes, meshing rethought renditions of Blaze's past, present and future. The diverse strands investigate his relationship with Sybil Rosen; his keep going, dim night on earth; and the effect of his tunes and his demise had on his fans, companions, and adversaries. The interlaced storyline ends in a clashing completion that recognizes Blaze's significant highs and lows, and in addition the impressions he made on the general population who shared his trip.
