In 1928, the congregation is loaded up with visitors for the wedding of Tom Branson. His new spouse has been composed into the will by her mom Maud, Lady Bagshaw, to turn into the beneficiary of her mom's broad domain. Following the wedding, with Violet's assent, Mr Murray, the family specialist, illuminates the Crawley family that Violet has acquired an estate in the south of France from a refined man she knew from the 1860s. He has passed on, and his child has welcomed individuals from the family to visit. Violet isn't alright to travel, yet Robert, Cora, Tom and Lucy, along with Edith and Bertie choose to go. Violet is especially restless for Tom and Lucy to go, as she has chosen to move responsibility for estate to her incredible granddaughter Sybbie (Tom's girl by his most memorable spouse, Lady Sybil Crawley). They cross the Channel with Carson, who experiences ocean infection during the intersection. In the interim, a film group wishes to make a film at Downton, and Lady Mary stays behind to direct. The staff at Downton are fascinated by the opportunity to see the stars of the film show up and to watch them practice. Woman Mary seems to establish a connection with the chief.
