Sometime in the distant past, in a little family suburb on the edges of Rome, the happy warmth of summer covers a smothering climate of estrangement. From a good ways, the families appear to be typical, however it's a hallucination: in the houses, yards and nurseries, quiet covers the unpretentious perversion of the dads, the detachment of the moms and the blameworthy lack of interest of grown-ups. Yet, it's the franticness and subdued fury of the kids that will detonate and slice through this bizarre façade, with annihilating ramifications for the whole local area.
