Assembling more than 12 long periods of film shot in the place where he grew up of Rockford, IL, in MINDING THE GAP, Bing Liu looks for relationships between's his skateboarder companions' fierce childhoods and the complexities of advanced manliness. As the film unfurls, Bing catches 23-year-old Zack's turbulent association with his better half break down after the introduction of their child and 17-year-old Keire battling with his racial way of life as he faces new duties following the demise of his dad. While exploring a troublesome connection between his camera, his companions, and his own past, Bing at last weaves an account of generational absolution while investigating the unsafe hole amongst youth and adulthood.
