In the late 1950├óÔé¼Ôäós a woman of wisdom, Florence Green starring Emily Mortimer is widowed by fate but risks every bit and decides to move on by opening a first of its kind bookshop in an orthodox East Anglian Coastal town. She witnesses a lot criticism from some of the major players in the same business and comes across the polite antagonism of the most respected woman belonging to the same field. Florence on the other hand is greeted with the affection of a noble widower book lover starring Bill Nighy and finds some respite. Florence is forced to reconsider her choice of opening a bookshop in a city which is cynical about having it.
