Government Agent Aaron Falk gets back to his old neighborhood Kiewarra after a shortfall of more than twenty years to go to the memorial service of his beloved companion, Luke, who supposedly executed his better half Karen and youngster Billy (saving child girl Charlotte) prior to ending his own life. At the influence of Luke's folks, Falk hesitantly consents to remain and research the conditions of the wrongdoing.
Falk is ceaselessly annoyed by the residents, following the now twenty-year-old demise of 17-year-old Ellie Deacon, a dear companion of his that he was sincerely associated with. Falk was promptly suspected for the demise, as he gave her a note that day requesting that she meet him at the stream, just for her not to show and be found by her dad and the police, suffocated in the waterway. Falk and his dad then left the town to stay away from badgering from Ellie's savage dad Mal.
